St Leonards and St Ives Parish Community Website
Welcome to the new community website for the parish of St Leonards and St Ives.
The St Leonards and St Ives Community Website is provided as a free resource for the residence of Ashley Heath, Ashley, St Leonards, St Ives, and Matchams, helping the community to have a single point of access to community groups and organisations, community networking, environmental issues, useful information, local events, sporting and leisure activities as well as local trades people and services.
The website will take you through the parish history when in 1725 a workhouse was first built, to current times and the production of the 2007 Parish Plan. The parish has a thriving number of clubs and societies which caters for the needs of many, these include, beavers, bridge, cubs, bowls, line dancing, tennis, woodwork and yoga to name a few. For all of these clubs and societies we have provided contact details for the group and some information as to when the group meets.
For the younger community members there's a page of useful website links giving them things to do on a rainy day. The local amenities page provides details of the community meeting places, the local place of worship and a number of sporting/leisure facilities within the parish.
Our goal is for this website to be owned by the community, with much of the content being provided by the community. Therefore, as part of the drive to promote the community's online presence we're requesting interesting and ongoing submissions from the public for inclusion in these pages. This will ensure that the site remains up to date and in the interest of the community.
If you have any information, articles, photographs, events, or news that you would like to see included on this site or any other comments, then please contact us.
Would you like to be involved in the production of material for this website on a regular basis? If so, then please contact us.
This website is not intended to be a commercial site, the costs of development, hosting and maintaining the site, has been provided through private individuals. We are grateful for the support of these people.
