Paws in Hand
Paws In Hand Dog Training and Behaviour is coming to St Leonards and St Ives! Run by Denise Nuttall a local, qualified and experienced dog behaviourist and trainer. Denise holds the Advanced Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour and Training through The Centre of Applied Pet Ethology and is also a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, membership number 00963. Many local vets recommend Paws In Hand for training and behaviour problems. Denise also works with Waggy Tails Dog Rescue as a volunteer to help to rehabilitate dogs prior to re-homing so that training and behaviour issues can be addressed. Denise works with an assistant, Ella, who is also a dog enthusiast and competes in dog agility. Ella is currently in education studying to become a vet.
Training classes have been so popular that Paws In Hand has had to expand and is moving into the St Leonards and St Ives Village Hall in January 2008 with three classes now being run on a Thursday evening. Classes are also run at Ferndown and Stapehill.
Classes are small, fun and friendly. Only rewards based training is given, no punishment is used. Places generally need to be booked in advance as there is often a waiting list. However, more sessions are run to accommodate demand whenever possible subject to hall availability.
If your dog could make a New Year’s resolution, what do you think it would be? If you think he would say “I want to be a better dog, not to jump up, not to bark, not to chew up the house when I’m alone, not bark at other dogs, not bite the post man, not to pull my owner like a steam engine and to come back when I’m called” then try Paws In Hand Dog Training and Behaviour.
If classes are not suitable or convenient, Denise does one to one training and also does train and walk in the local area. Please see www.pawsinhand.co.uk or call Denise on 01202 861340 for further information.
